The boot engines are built with longer-life bearings than OEMs.

Many engines OEM boot has an unprotected needle bearing on the outside of the drive shaft retainer; the humidity enters the electric motor exit cap, reaches to the bearing and corrodes it.

RICK ' S  goes further and installs a double-stop ball bearing, thereby achieving   the outer bearing is protected from the water inlet and, second, the sealed ball bearing can be replaced.
